Polaris completes its second LBO with Motion Equity Partners

Altaïr Avocats advised Polaris’ management team on the legal and tax aspects of its second LBO, which sees Motion Equity Partners become the company’s majority shareholder.

A new LBO to support Polaris’ continued growth

Specialising in the development and production of omega-3-rich oils, particularly those derived from microalgae, Polaris is entering a new phase of its development with the completion of its second LBO.

Following the transaction, Motion Equity Partners becomes Polaris’ majority shareholder, taking over from Cerea Partners, now Demea Agro.

Existing shareholders Cerea Partners, Seventure and Picama are reinvesting alongside Motion Equity Partners, while Sodero, Arkéa Capital and Unexo are exiting their investments.

This new transaction comes three years after Polaris’ first LBO and marks a new stage in the company’s development, following strong growth in recent years.
