William began his career as a lawyer in 2006 at Landwell & Associés (PwC Tax & Legal), before joining a leading French law firm specialising in advising industrialist families on the acquisition, preservation and transfer of their assets. He joined Alérion in 2015 and then joined Altair Avocats in 2026.

With nearly twenty years’ experience, William has developed a recognised practice in asset and international taxation, providing both advisory and (pre-)litigation services to industrialist families, senior executives, entrepreneurs and clients with significant international exposure.

In this capacity, he deals with international successions, estate planning and trust management, the structuring of property investments in France (vehicles, financing, ownership via companies, non-residents), the reorganisation of asset holding and financing structures, as well as income tax and the IFI (French property wealth tax) (advisory, compliance, pre-litigation/litigation services) He also assists with the implementation of business disposals and intergenerational transfers, the definition and structuring of executive remuneration policies (employee share ownership, impatriation, expatriation) and the design of management packages.

His expertise covers: personal and asset taxation, international taxation (inheritance, estate planning, trusts), property investments in France (residents and non-residents);

 asset and business reorganisations, business disposals and intergenerational transfers, executive remuneration policies and management packages, as well as tax litigation and pre-litigation matters

He holds a Law Master (M2) in Public Finance and Taxation (University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas, 2004)
